Jewels of the Mind is a figurative DCG hologram depicting three hand-crafted glass prisms. Although the image may appear abstract at first glance, it is a precise spatial recording of real optical objects interacting with light.
The prisms were custom fabricated to control refraction and internal reflection in a specific way. Their geometry was designed to generate complex spectral behavior that standard prisms would not produce. What the viewer sees is not an invented form, but the actual behavior of light inside a constructed optical situation.
As the viewer moves, spectral bands travel across the planes of the prisms, revealing depth, internal reflections, and the space in which diffraction unfolds. The work exposes light itself as subject matter — structured, bent, and made volumetric through glass.
It is figurative in the most literal sense: a hologram of three physical prisms, rendered entirely in light.
