Mind Jewel is a sculptural hologram recorded in glass that concentrates complex optical structures within a faceted transparent form. The geometry of the glass object acts as an optical instrument, guiding light through the holographic recording and revealing internal spatial structures.
As the viewer moves around the piece, colors and forms appear and dissolve within the object. What initially reads as an abstract field of light gradually reveals layered diffraction patterns and spatial depth embedded inside the glass.
Rather than presenting a fixed image, the work behaves as a perceptual event that unfolds through movement and changing light conditions. The faceted body of the object refracts and redirects the reconstructed holographic image, producing a constantly shifting interplay of color, geometry, and depth.
With Mind Jewel, holography becomes both image and object: a small optical sculpture where light itself forms the structure of the work.
